If you are using windows movie maker to produce your own videos, or complimation from other videos, you will need to download the actual video in .wmv format to your hard drive.

Below are 2 of the best free resources for doing this.

Media Converter is a firefox plug in that works very well. The free version is limited to 5 downloads per day. You simply view the video you want, and click the button on the tool bar to down load it to your harddrive.

If you run out of your 5 free downloads, you can go to Zamzar.com Copy the URL of the video you want, paste it on zamar.com and the converted video will be emailed to you.
